ROAD CLOSING NOTICE PULASKI HIGHWAY
(COUNTY ROAD 6)
TOWN OF GOSHEN
COUNTY OF ORANGE
The undersigned Commissioner of Public Works of the County of Orange does hereby close all that portion of County Road 6 (Pulaski Highway) in the Town of Goshen, Orange County, New York. BEGINNING at a point located at the intersection of County Road 6 (Pulaski Highway) and County Road 68 (Quarry Road) and runs THENCE in a northeasterly direction along said County Road 6 (Pulaski Highway) approximately 200 feet (0.04 miles) for the purpose of allowing the Orange County Department of Public Works, its agents or contractors, to excavate, repair, pave and do all such work as required in connection with the “Replacement of Culvert on CR 6” on said County Road. Said closing being effective by the conspicuous posting of “Road Closed” signs on or about June 26, 2023.
Said county road will be closed to all through traffic for a period of approximately Fifty (50) days in accordance with the provisions of Section 104 of the Highway Law. Appropriate traffic control devices, in accordance with the provisions of the National Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), and the New York State Supplement, will be in place and detour routes will be prominently marked. In the case of inclement weather or other unforeseen problems, this period of time may be extended as needed.
Normal through traffic using this portion of County Road 6 (Pulaski Highway) should use alternate routes or signed detour routing that will utilize New York State (NYS) Route 17A and County Road 68 (Quarry Road).
Detour Directions for CR. 6 (Pulaski Highway), Town of Goshen:
Traveling Northeast on County Road 6 (Pulaski Highway):
1. At the intersection of County Road 6 (Pulaski Highway) and County Road 68 (Quarry Road), turn right onto County Road 68 and proceed southerly for approximately 0.9 miles to its terminus at the intersection with NYS Route 17A.
2. Turn left onto NYS Route 17A and proceed northerly for approximately 0.7 miles to the intersection with County Road 6 (Pulaski Highway).

Traveling Southwest on NYS Route 17A:
1. At the intersection of NYS Route 17A and County Road 6 (Pulaski Highway), continue straight on NYS Route 17A and proceed southerly for approximately 0.7 miles to the intersection with County Road 68 (Quarry Road).
2. Turn right onto County Road 68 (Quarry Road) and proceed northerly for approximately 0.9 miles to its terminus at the intersection with County Road 6 (Pulaski Highway).
